Dear Praying Friends,

We once again praise the Lord for the great privilege to be counted worthy to preach the Gospel in the regions beyond you. Your part in this through prayer and giving of monies is greatly appreciated. Even now this week we have been able to Fly to Ukarumpa to purchase our next two months worth of supplies with the love offerings you have been led of the Father to
send to us. As the Apostle Paul said: “Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all: I am full, having received of [Rudy Stembridge] the things which were sent from you…..wellpleasing to God.” Although the bank account was full when we Flew from Kaintiba yesterday (3 December), the money is quickly being used to purchase the necessary items to continue in our remote outstation.

There have not been any new conversions unto Salvation the last two months (that we know of) and we are praying for more souls to submit to baptism according to the Scriptures. We have obeyed Matthew 28:19a, but the other part of that verse has been a challenge, since I can only baptize those who will submit to this simple instruction. Pray for true commitment in the lives of those who hear the preaching of the Word of God in Kaintiba, Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea.

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, Jorim Kimas, who has helped in this ministry for the last 5 years, has become my enemy due to the fact he often refuses to submit to the Word of God. As the Apostle Paul said: “Am I therefore become [his] enemy because I tell [him] the truth?” Yes. In this case it is apparently so. His attack against me was due to a Scripture portion written by the Apostle James (4:1-3). Had it not been the Holy Spirit’s discernment to bring a friend with me to see why he was angry, there would have been blood shed…mine…as he said so himself. Discontentment has brought him back full circle to a carnal mind and lack of love for the Brethren. Pray that Jorim will submit to the Father in all things and that he will attain a true understanding of the real Christian life that Christ would have us to follow.

Due to Jorim’s lack to obey the responsibilities of a pastor, I have again been given all the work of pastor at Tok Tru Baptis Sios (Truth Baptist Church). Our latest prayer request concerning this is to see a full time national pastor to be found/trained that has a true heart for the Work of God. For this church body to be “indigenous” and independent of me, a
“Timothy type” pastor would be best. As the Apostle Paul said: “For I have no man likeminded [besides Timotheus], who will naturally care for [their] state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.”

Our family was quite shaken up by the physical attack that was made upon me. As the Apostle Paul said: “From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Please pray Father will give Christi and the girls peace concerning this, and for me to have grace and forgiveness. Pray the Lord will continue to use this to soften the hearts
of the people in Kaintiba unto Salvation. I pray they will see Christ in me…the hope of glory. That is the only hope they have, for there is none other than our Lord Jesus Christ who has power to free them from fear of death and the unknown future. Many in our community, even the unsaved, have showed sympathy toward me these past 3 weeks. May our Lord
God receive any glory that may be attributed to me. He is worthy of all adoration.

Christi’s Corner: Cassia Jade Wilson (our First granddaughter) made her appearance into this world on October 10th, weighing 7lbs. 9oz. I was able to witness the birth via video call which was such a blessing that her arrival was when I was in the city. We have had little to no emails or pictures in the past two months so I am really thankful to be out in Ukarumpa this week and able to catch up and get pictures of my newest blessing! Thank you to all who pray for us!

For His Glory,
Mark and Christi Helzerman
