"Make Me A Stranger" says the song writer, as the Bible says: we are strangers and pilgrims in this old sin-sick world.   Although we dwell in houses, we have no permanent dwelling place.  Father has given to His children this time on earth to occupy until the return of our  Saviour Jesus Christ.  It is an honour to be in His work, as He seeks to save those who are lost.  Even so, our hearts yearn to be "home" with the Lord of Glory.

August and September have been busy as we have been doing more traveling.  The first meetings after our family's "vacation" were in Michigan.  Our primary stop in my home state was to spend some time with my parents.  Ron and Jane Helzerman have been faithful to Father so many years, and have taught us the way of righteousness.  They continue to minister in Riverdale, even through the difficulties that old age brings.  It is not hard for me to rise up and call them blessed.  I have no excuse not to continue in the course they have set for me to follow, for it compliments the Christian way of life.  Christi and I are grateful for their steadfastness.

After a visiting a few other church families, including Parker Memorial Baptist and Silvery Lane Baptist, we drove back to upstate New York.  The last few days of August, Christi and I were able to get away for our BIG 20 year anniversary of being happily married!  We went to Lancaster, Pennsylvania and visited some areas of Christi's childhood memories.  We praise the Lord for His marvelous orchestration of bringing us together....He gave us both our hearts desire for a spouse and brought us both to the place of our desired field of work: Papua New Guinea.

Back in New York,  we reported about our work in PNG to 3 of our supporting churches all on one Sunday!  The week-end of September 10 we were able to be with several of our friends in the Ballston Spa/Gloversville area.  We praise the Lord for these who have been faithful to Him and who have continued for His Glory.  Emmanuel Baptist, Olde Liberty Baptist, and Log Cabin Baptist Church families have allowed us to be part of their mission program for many  years now.  We thank Father who gave to us through them.   Their kindness was a undeserved blessing.

Titus was able to preach a short message at out home church on Wednesday the 20th.  (I am thankful to God that Titus has shown a yielding to the Lord in His life.  Pray that Father will lead him in days to come concerning the direction of his life.)

From our home base, we were able to report at two other churches in West New York.  Both Lighthouse Baptist and Cornerstone Baptist Churches have also been faithful to support us.   The 1st Sunday in October I preached at Believers Baptist Church in Indiana, then onto Alabama for 2 meetings.  From there, our family came into Florida.  Now Christi, Titus, Glory and I are in Alaska for several meetings.  Pray that all will be well with us and the children who are with family in Florida.  We praise the Lord for His goodness thus far!

Christi’s Corner: While in Florida we were able to see our son, Samuel.  He has been at Buddy Maynard's Home.  He is doing very well.  He came to me with tears in his eyes and apologized for the grief he caused me.  This is an answer to much prayer for our family!!  He will continue there till Christmas when he will rejoin our family again.  "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth!" 3 John1:4

For His Glory,
